When we came to New Zealand in 2020, I didn’t know what my purpose was. I distinctly remember feeling the Holy Spirit prompting me to write. I began writing a book about my life starting with writing my name and the meaning thereof, as a starting point to simply start.
As I wrote about my childhood, a lot of memories came to mind. Some were about happy and carefree times, others were of challenges I face and sorrows. I laughed and cried and somehow a healing journey began in my life.
As I was pondering what to write in this month’s post, I once again heard that I should write. So, here I am writing.
I heard a teaching of Joyce Meyer where she said that God cannot drive a parked car. Sometimes, even when we don’t know what to do, we should start moving.
Stepping out in faith can be scary, but it is also rewarding. You have to hold on to Jesus and pray for guidance and start to act. Often a first action is to declare out loud what you are believing for and thanking God in advance.
In this season where we are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, let us remember that he came so we can have a life of abundance. Believe that as you step out in faith, helping others and sharing your joy in Christ with others, you are living a life of purpose for Christ.
Look towards the coming year with new eyes, spend time with God and let him guide you through the Holy Spirit. Habakkuk 2:2 says to write the vision down. Write down what you hear, keep it within your sight and step out in faith.
Take hold of your abundant, fulfilling life in Christ.
May you have a Christmas full of peace and love.
