No one can love us more than God who gave his only son to die on the cross for our sins. The Bible teaches us that love covers a multitude of sins and cast out all fears. In Zephaniah 3:17 we learn that God lives among us, that He delights in us with gladness and that He will calm all our fears with his love. He loves you so much he rejoices over you with songs!
As a child, I loved visiting my grandparents. Especially when we still had our farms. My grandma would bake the largest chocolate cake because she knew it was our favourite. You could taste the love that went into it.
At bedtime my grandma always came to our room to say goodnight. Her parting words were what kept me going even when the storms of life seemed to overwhelm me: remember Jesus loves you.
Telling someone that Jesus loves them is one of the kindest things we can do. Hearing Jesus loved me, helped me stay focused on Him. When I felt alone; I knew He was with me. When I feared what others may say or do; I remembered those words and it kept me pushing forward.
In 1 Corinthians 13 Paul says that out of faith, hope and love, love remains the greatest. You can be a good person, you can trust in God, but without His love in your heart, you will be empty.
Love is one of the first topics discussed in the Be quiet and Listen journal. After completing the journal, God inspired me to write songs specifically for the topics covered in the journal. These songs are created to inspire you as you draw closer to God. To access the song Love is the greatest, you can click on the link below.
May God fill you with His love. Remember: Jesus loves you!
With love
