Isaiah 40:31 KJV " but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Our sustenance comes from God. He is our Good Shepherd who provides all that we need out of His glorious riches. We didn’t earn this privilege. Yet God in his unfailing grace, redeemed us by sending his Son to die for our sins.

What comes up in your heart when you read the above statement?

Today I invite you to reflect on what Jesus did for you. Take a few moments and write down everything that is revealed to you.

“Having an attitude of continual gratitude towards God, opens doors that no man can shut.”

In 2023 I, along with my husband and members of our church, did a course about what it means to truly worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth. It revealed areas in my own life that was lacking.

This past weekend I was reminded again to live a life of worship. Not to gain something, but out of love. Love for God and the love of people.

Matthew 22:37 - 39 KJV "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

What does this look like?

1. Placing God first in everything I do. (Mathew 6:33)
2. Serving people from a place of thankfulness for all the things God has done (Matthew 20:28)
3. Walking with the Holy Spirit and truly submitting to his guidance. (John 14:26)
4. Accepting that we all fall short of the glory of God, but through the blood of Jesus we were made white as snow. (Romans 3:23)

What other reasons can you think of and support with scripture?

There is an order to all things in this world. It was created with order. Therefore, if there is anything in your life that feels as if it is in chaos, you need to investigate the cause.

Often times I found that things goes awry when I focused more on myself than on the purposes of God. As soon as I start to thank the Lord and repent, my life shifts back into alignment. It is a constant battle, to keep our focus on Jesus. When we thank and praise the Lord, it tells our souls that God comes first, because he is worthy of all our praises.

As you read these words today, take a bit of inventory of your life right now. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you places where you need the light of God to shine.
